General Manager and Founder Member, Steve Guy has announced that he will step down with immediate effect, although, he will remain a part of the Blue Raiders Organisation in the future.

"Steve has been an integral part of the Blue Raiders throughout the last three
years. His hard work and dedication has been a major contributing factor to
making the Blue Raiders what they are today. It is a shame to announce his
resignation as GM, but, we look forward to retaining Steve'services next year.
I am sure that whatever role Steve fulfils, he will approach it with the same
determination and conviction he did as General Manager and that can only mean
good things for the future of the Blue Raiders" a team reprasentative said.

Steve added “The last three years have been an amazing journey. What started as a couple of blokes chewing over an idea via email has snowballed into something wonderful. To go from nothing to the playoffs in only our second full season in the BAFL is an amazing achievement for everyone who is part of the Blue Raider family. The time has come for me to step aside to concentrate on other things, but I still intend to be helping the Blue Raiders however I can.”

Assuming the role of General Manager will be former Blue Raiders Quarterback,
Tony Law. Tony returns to the Blue Raiders following a year out from his
playing career.

"I always knew that I'd return to the Blue Raiders next year, but, I was never
sure in what capacity, so to have the opportunity to step into the General
Managers role is a real honour. Steve leaves some big shoes to fill, but I am
confident that I can step up and continue driving the Blue Raiders forward. I
am excited for the future of this organisation as we move into a new era and
get ready for next season" Tony said.

Steve added “Tony will bring the same calm leadership he always displayed on the field to the GM role. 2010 promises to be an exciting time for Blue Raider football!””

The Blue Raiders are hard at work training in preparation for their forthcoming NSPCC Charity Game in October against the Cambridgeshire Cats.
More updates regarding this and the future of the Bedfordshire Blue Raiders will be made available in the coming weeks.
