The Lincolnshire Bombers refused to play the Blue Raiders this weekend, and forfeited the game.
Bedfordshire are awarded the victory 1-0 and now have a 6-1 record for the season. They are second in the East Conference behind the Colchester Gladiators, who recorded an impressive 28-16 win over the unbeaten London Olympians last Sunday.
Blue Raiders Head Coach, Chris Wallis, said “It’s unfortunate and frustrating for everybody involved with football when teams fail to meet their obligations and fulfil their schedule.
We had twenty four players missing for the game ourselves so wouldn’t have been at full strength. But there is nothing we can do about it, and we need to focus on our next game.”
The Blue Raiders next game is on the 12th July away at Conference rivals the Watford Cheetahs, who they beat 6-0 back in May.
